Resisting the sweetness

I tried finding the most horrible and terrifying photo of a foot ready to be cut-off, just so my dear readers can get the aura here. hehe

---------

You love sugar, because of its sweetness. You like tasting its sweetness on your tongue. You like it sooo much, so you consume more and more everyday. Results in? Diabetes.

Diabetes is of course, a sickness. And for the purpose of exaggeration here, the diabetes will later lead you to gangrene. What is gangrene? There. In the photo is gangrene. Where, the last resort for it, is to amputate the foot off.

What am i trying to say here?

Well.. This story started when somebody came for an advice from me last thursday. The conversation started with a simple, "Do you have any exam today?" When i said no, the reply i got was, "Good. I need your advice."

His issue was, he fell for this one girl after getting to know her about 2 weeks ago. He said he wanted to make it right this time, that he didn't want this relationship to end badly just like the previous ones. So he asked me the million dollar question,

"What should i do?"

I first suggested him to go see her parents. Get it right with the parents first. He said he had been thinking about this too, but (and i quote), "I am still a student. I am not capable enough to get engaged to/ marry her."

Okay then. So I suggested the second option. I started my advice simply with,

If you want to achieve something that you have never achieved before,
then you should do something that you have never done before.

I told him to stop having lunches and dinners with her. Stop BBM-ing with her too often. Stop seeing her around campus. Stop talking to her on the phone for hours. Stop doing whatever he did in the previous relationships, where he knows how it ended. Stop. The main point is, stop.

..if he wants this one to end happily ever after in a marriage, that is.

Maintain a safe distance with her.

She's the sugar here, and i understand that it is completely normal for him to like her so much. But you see, after consuming too much of her sweetness, he will eventually get "diabetes". That weird feeling in the heart, where you find yourself thinking about her almost in every minute of your every hour of your every single day. Or, some people call it love. hehe

And what happens when a diabetic person still continues to consume excessive sugar? Gangrene! But now that it's too late, when the disease has already eaten a part of him, the only solution is to go through a little pain in getting rid of the infected foot (thus stopping it from spreading moooore) and stop consuming too much sugar after that.

But hey. The good news is that, he doesn't have to cut off his foot, and he doesn't have diabetes for real. So he doesn't have to control his intake dosage of her sweetness forever!! Just until he finds enough 'capabilities' to get himself insulin!

insulin = marry her, hohoho

the infamous insulin jab nowadays, heh

Kan? Because logically... Having a hubungan yang berkat sebelum kahwin will definitely promise a berkat marriage too, insyaAllah.

Apa i merepek ni. Macam mengarut je perbandingan diabetes-gangrene-insulin bagai yang i buat ni, haih -__- Okay, biar je lah. Anyway.. I know, cakap memang senang. Bagi nasihat kat orang lagiii senang. heh. Alright now, let's implement this. Shall we.

ps. Long posts such as this, indicates that i am on my holiday now. WEEEE
